Minsk National Airport (MSQ).
Old name Minsk-2 Airport is the main international airport in Belarus. It is located 40 km from the center of Minsk and is the base airport for the Belarusian national airlines Belavia and TransAviaExport. The design of the terminal building was entrusted to the authoritative design organization "Lenaeroproekt", which specialized in the development of models of airports and seaports. However, the airport project was not successful. Let's say, in one of the options, it looked like a factory. Every six meters there were columns. When the council once again did not accept the plans and facades proposed by the Leningraders, they decided to involve Minsk architects in the competition. The airport's master plan solution, proposed by the designers, made it possible to increase its capacity by building new runways parallel to the access highway from the Mound of Glory and a potentially infinite number of new passenger terminals. The date of birth of Minsk National Airport is July 1983, but life here began to boil already in 1982.
